Crochet Baby Blanket - Aran Yarn

Finally, it's finished!!! I was going to put a shell edging around the blanket but it looked clumsy as the aran yarn was too chunky. In the end I settled for a simple scalloped chain stitch. I made this blanket as a gift for a family member who's just had a baby girl. She loved it!!!

Crochet Baby Blanket....almost done.

The crochet baby blanket is progressing well all be it very slowly. Just a couple more rows and edging to be done. The half trebles make a lovely open honeycomb texture and make the blanket breathable.

Current Crafting Project - Crochet Baby Blanket

A family member is expecting a baby, what better excuse for starting another crochet project, it's been a while since I finished the last one!!  I'm using an Aran wool blend yarn (one of those giant balls) and using a 8mm crochet hook as I want to create a chunky waffle type blanket.  I am keeping it very simple with row upon row of half trebles (htr) and will finish it off with a boarder of some kind.  I will keep posting my progress.
