I used to love looking through my Nan's button tins and always loved it when we were allowed to play with the sequins at primary school. My children are the same, why is it we are like magpies around small tins of beads, bags of wool and scraps of fabric? There is something magical about the colours, textures and feel of haberdashery items that makes me covet them like treasure, which of course they are!
