I love my bargain birds!!!! I bought the brown one on EBay for £3, the other was a charity shop buy for £1.50. They are both Wedgewood paperweights and can sell for up to £30 each. I think they are 1970's, I love the simplicity of the design.

Playskool retro bird toy
I bought this toy on eBay, it reminded me of the weeble toys I used to play with as a child. 'Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down'!!!

Vintage Bird
My daughter was facinated with my sewing machine, we decided to do a mini project together so she could see how it works. She chose the fabric and designed the shape of the bird. The currect issue of Mollie Makes magazine came with some vintage style buttons which we used for the eyes. It took less than a hour from start to finish and she loves the end result. She decided to call the bird Violet.
